To some, music can be madness. To others however, in the words of Paul McCartney nothing can please them “more than to go into a room and come out with a piece of music.” Some students pass by, barely batting an eye lid as they try to ignore the sheer passion of individuals who attempt to enhance the atmosphere of University life. But to those who eat their lunch in silence and stare in admiration, these modest musicians bring much more than just sound from their instruments. They are a symbol of personal artistic expression, encouraging many to step out of their comfort zone and become a contributor to the cultural life of university.

University life has its temptations. Many students succumb to buying their lunch and with this unhealthy eating habits can arise. With options of greasy hamburgers, salted chips and crunchy chocolate bars, ‘Panizzi’ is a cafe’ that attempts to set itself aside by promoting a healthy university lifestyle. A new pile of crispy, green and red apples can be seen placed upon a polished wooden barrel each day. As Blake ponders at the showcase of apples, he wonders whether his fellow students will choose to eat as he does, or take the easy road and find a greedy vending machine.
